WRIGHT'S SEAFOOD INN: A GREAT CATCH EVERY DAY

Wright's Seafood Inn, a 114-year-old landmark, closed four years ago after being flooded by an angry Chartiers Creek. The community feared this beloved establishment would never serve another memory-making meal again.

That all changed in August 2007 when Joe DeCarlo purchased the property and began the intensive remodeling. There were tribulations along the way, but Wright's Seafood Inn reopened its doors on December 19, 2007.

The focus is at the new Wright's is LOCAL. The majority of our suppliers are our guests. Of course our seafood and lobsters are flown in only one day out of the water, but are purchased from small independent fisherman. Everything else from staffing to food products to services are sought after within Western Pennsylvania.

We work with family businesses because we are, too. It's hard not to meet Joe or his girlfriend on your first visit. Start coming regularly and you'll know Joe's children who work in the restaurant when there is time away from school studies.

Today, Wright's is again the gathering place for residents and visitors alike. It is still the preferred venue for parties of all sorts, from wedding receptions to business seminars. Guests already have plans next year for the new generation's addition of an outside deck.

Daily specials in the Tap Room are enticing and affordable: Italian Dinner Tuesdays ($12), Martini Wednesdays ($5), Crab Leg Thursdays ($10/lb.), lobster on Fridays and Saturdays ($20/lb.), and Sunday brunch ($16). Weekdays offer happy hour from 5pm – 7pm with half price appetizers and drink specials.

The menu features a lobster bisque that has attracted rave reviews, seafood to satisfy anybody's cravings for treats from the deep, and steaks that diners exclaim are 'to die for.'
